Many communities in western NC are still being impacted by Helene-related dangers.

NORTH CAROLINA, USA — Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to visit western NC to survey damage following Hurricane Helene.

Harris will be in NC on Saturday to survey the impacts of Hurricane Helene and get an on-the-ground briefing about the continued recovery efforts happening in communities across the state.

The White House says that Harris will also share updates on federal actions that are being taken to support emergency response and recovery efforts in NC and other states throughout the southeast.

President Joe Biden surveyed the damage in the Carolinas earlier this week.
