4 Buncombe County Schools students dead in wake of Helene, school district says

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. — Four Buncombe County School students are dead in the wake of Helene, the school district confirmed.

Buncombe County Schools confirmed the deaths Friday.

The school district said they are still searching for 21 other students.

One of the students was confirmed to be Micah Drye from Haw Creek Elementary.
