Weather Impact: Drier, warmer for the weekend

It won't be very Fall-like

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Friday: Partly Cloudy. Mainly Dry. High 81.

Tonight: Partly Cloudy. Low 62.

Saturday: Partly Cloudy. Mainly Dry. High 82.

Sunday: Partly Cloudy. Not Fall-like. High 83.

WEATHER SUMMARY:

Drier weather is starting to make a return to the Piedmont, just in time for the weekend! You should feel pretty comfortable leaving the rain gear at home today, for the first time all week. Low pressure is finally moving further away from us as drier air moves in from the north and west. High pressure will take more control of our weather over the next few days and through the weekend. We'll see more sunshine, that should help warm us up to 80, or even the low 80s for some folks today, with just a low chance for an isolated shower, mainly in the southern Piedmont. Humidity will stay up a bit through the weekend but Saturday and Sunday should have plenty of sunshine but it won't be very Fall-like. Saturday afternoon will warm into the low 80s, Sunday too.

Sunday is the first day of Fall, officially, with the Fall Equinox. Although it won't feel very "Fally", but rather warm. By Monday, a cold front should bring some slightly cooler air to our area with mornings in the low 60s and pleasant afternoons with highs in the mid and upper 70s Monday and Tuesday. Rain chances will return by the middle of the week.

The normal low is 61, and the normal high is 80.
