Weather Impact: cold and breezy to end the workweek

Gusty winds of 30 mph will make it feel even colder

Saturday: Mostly Sunny. Chilly. High 57.

Sunday: Mostly Sunny. High 62. 

Monday: Partly Cloudy. Warmer. High 66. 

WEATHER SUMMARY

A strong cold front has moved south and east of the Triad. Cold Canadian high pressure will build over the Eastern U.S. over the next few days. This will bring the coldest air of this Fall season. Wind gusts near 30 mph will make it feel much colder through this evening. Tonight, a Freeze Watch is in effect for our area which could be upgraded to a Freeze Warning later this evening. Temperatures are expected to drop at or a few degrees below freezing. Friday will be partly sunny, windy and cold. The high will reach 49 or about 10 degrees below normal. Winds will still be a bit breezy with cold gusts up to 30 mph.

Temperatures will recover a bit over the weekend. It will be mostly sunny. The high marks on Saturday will be 57, and 62 on Sunday. Morning low temperatures both on Saturday and Sunday will be in the mid and upper 30's. Monday will be partly cloudy with a high of 66. Our next cold front will cross the area around Tuesday and cool us back into the 50s by Wednesday. Our next best shot of rain comes later on Thursday as another system approaches the area. 

The normal low is 37, and the normal high is 59.
