WEATHER SUMMARY
High pressure will move off the East Coast. The resulting southwesterly surface wind will drive high temperatures to around 70 this afternoon. A cold front will slowly approach from the west but not cross the area until Wednesday night. Clouds will increase overnight with a low of 48. We will see extra clouds on Tuesday with a few showers possible late in the day. The high will be 68.
There will be a 40% scattered shower chance Tuesday night through Wednesday evening. At the moment, moisture with the front looks to be limited. Upwards of .25" of rain is possible with this system. The high on Wednesday will be 68. Morning low temperatures will be in the mid 50's. Behind the cold front a nice shot of colder air will move into the Piedmont. The high Thursday will be 54, and 51 on Friday. The high on Saturday will be 53.Morning low temperatures will chill into the mid and upper 30's. Blustery winds will make it feel even colder.
The normal low is is 38, and the normal high is 60.
