GREENSBORO, N.C. — Not a fan of early sunsets? Ready for longer days and later sunsets? Well, I have good news! Each day so far this year we've slowly added minutes toward a later sunset and an overall day length.
Thursday, Feb. 15th will mark the first 6 p.m. sunset of 2024
6 p.m. (or later) sunsets will last from February 15th all the way until November 3rd! Note: Daylight Saving Time (AKA Spring Forward) begins Sunday, March 10th. Although we'll lose an hour of daylight in the morning, sunsets will be an hour later in the 7 o'clock hour.
7 p.m. or later sunsets will last from March 10th through the beginning of October! Not coming soon enough? Just remember everyday our sunset time grows later! It won't be too long before spring officially arrives either -- just over a month on Tuesday, March 19th.
