GREENSBORO, N.C. — If you live near Lake Jeanette, you're going to see a lot of construction pretty soon. It's all for the next step in the Greensboro urban loop construction project.
Construction crews are putting in a new bridge on Lake Jeanette Road.
First, they'll construct a temporary bridge. That will stay up for several weeks, and pedestrians will be able to use it.
Once that's all set, they'll start work on the permanent bridge. And that could take seven to nine months to finish.
The urban loop section between Lawndale Drive and Battleground Avenue should be done by the end of this year.
As for the section between Lawndale Drive and Elm Street, the goal is to have it done by Fall 2020.
