GREENSBORO, N.C. — If you’ve booked a flight departing from the Piedmont Triad International Airport, be sure to check your flight status before leaving home.
PTI airport said they are experiencing flight cancellations with a lot of airlines. Over the next few days, people should call the airline to check and see if their flight is still operating.
Airport officials said the top level of the parking deck is closed. Anyone who needs to park at the airport should enter the parking deck at the lower level.
PTI personnel released a statement about flight cancellations during this severe weather.
“The airport will remain open throughout this severe weather event,” Kevin Baker, the airport’s executive director, said. “However, airlines may cancel flights because of the winter storm’s system-wide impacts to the East Coast.”
PTI said if conditions drastically change, then the upper-level terminal airport where the departures are may close. If the upper level closes, passengers can access the lower level of the terminal where the arrivals are to get on their flight.
“Please be safe”, Baker said.
