WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A traffic accident has caused the 2900 block of Maplewood Avenue in Winston-Salem to be shut down to traffic, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.
Officers say they are currently investigating a vehicle collision that "resulted in a utility pole down with power lines across the roadway."
The street is closed between Bethesda Road and Bodford Street. It is expected to be closed "for several more hours" as of 7:45 p.m. Saturday.
There was no information given about any possible injuries.
