Man dies in three-car crash on W Clemmonsville Road in Winston-Salem, police say

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man is dead after a three-car collision on the 2500 block of W Clemmonsville Road in Winston-Salem, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.

A Mercury Milan was driving east on Clemmonsville Road when it crossed the double yellow line and hit a Dodge Grand Caravan and a Ford Ranger.

Larry Griffen, 82, the driver and sole occupant of the Mercury Milan, was pronounced dead on the scene by police.

The driver of the Dodge was taken to a local medical facility for a minor injury and the driver of the Ford Ranger was uninjured, according to police.

West Clemmonsville Road is back open for travel, police said.
