ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — A tractor-trailer has forced two lanes on I-40 West to shut down in Alamance County after flipping over Tuesday morning, Burlington fire officials confirmed.
They said the call came in around 3:21 a.m. Tuesday. The incident happened near Exit 145.
Officials said the truck was going east on I-40, hit the jersey wall, and flipped over onto the westbound lanes. The truck driver was extricated and flown to UNC Hospital.
They said one car was involved in the crash and three other cars were damaged after hitting the debris left in the road from the truck.
