Pedestrian killed in Friday night crash in Thomasville: Police

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — A 66-year-old man was killed Friday night in Thomasville after he was struck by a car, according to the Thomasville Police Department.

Officers responded to the intersection of National Highway and Fairway Avenue around 7:19 p.m. on Friday night, where they found 66-year-old Michael David Baker dead at the scene. 

According to a press release, Baker was walking west attempting to cross over National Highway when he was strick by a 2010 Lincoln Town Car traveling south.

The crash is still under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
