Guilford County Sheriff's Office employee involved in incident where pedestrian hit on US 29 North in Greensboro: Sheriff

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Update (9:04 p.m.): All lanes of US 29 are now open.

A pedestrian was hit on US 29 causing the northbound lanes to be closed Wednesday evening, according to Guilford County EMS. 

Guilford County Sheriff Danny H. Rogers announced Wednesday night that a Sheriff's Office employee was involved in the collision.

The Greensboro Police Department is leading the investigation into the incident, according to a press release.

Drivers should expect traffic delays in the area until further notice. Stay with us as we find out more information.
