1 dead after crash on Reynolda Road in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man has died after a single-vehicle crash in Winston-Salem on Sunday morning.

Officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to a crash on the 1400 block of Reynolda Road around 4:47 a.m. Sunday when they found a vehicle that had run off the roadway and crashed after traveling south on Reynolda Road.

Investigators say Elijah Pridgen, 26, of Greensboro, was driving the vehicle when it ran off the roadway to the right, "went airborne and flipped multiple times." Pridgen was pronounced dead on scene, according to officials.

No other information has been provided about the cause of the crash.
