Driver facing charges after crashing into a Greensboro fire truck on I-85 N near US 421

Officials said fire crews were on the scene of a wreck after 27-year-old Marqui’se D. Arrington, a tractor-trailer driver, crashed into a Greensboro fire truck.

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — UPDATE: All lanes of I-85 north near US 421 have reopened, Greensboro police said Monday morning. 

The highway shut down early Monday due to a crash near exit 126. 

Officials said a firetruck was on the scene earlier for another incident when a tractor-trailer hit the firetruck on the side of the road. 

No one was hurt. 

The Greensboro Police Department said 27-year-old Marqui’se Dai’quaan Arrington, the tractor-trailer driver, is facing charges of failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision and careless and reckless driving.
