WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Road closures and heavy traffic are expected for the Veterans Day Parade in downtown Winston-Salem Saturday Nov. 2.
The parade is set to begin at 10 a.m.
Winston-Salem police said the road closures will take place between 8 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
Officers said the following road closures will be in place for the parade:
- 4th Street between Broad Street and Main Street
- Liberty Street between 5th Street and 1st Street
- 1st Street between Main Street and Cherry Street
Winston-Salem police will be in those areas helping with traffic and event security.
Police said drivers should consider alternate routes to minimize traffic impact and those who live in the area should plan ahead to avoid having vehicle access restricted within the road closures/event perimeters..
Officers said no vehicles will be allowed to travel on the closed roadways.
