GREENSBORO, N.C. — Heavy traffic is expected in Greensboro for GHOE this weekend.

NC A&T State University is hosting multiple events for their homecoming celebration.

These events are expected to draw a large crowd to the area.

NCDOT said there will be multiple road closures starting Friday and ending on Sunday.

The Greensboro Coliseum will be hosting evening events Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Large crowds are predicted for that area during those times.

Drivers are advised to watch for posted signs in the area for parking information.

NCDOT said drivers should expect higher traffic volumes on I-40 East and West, I-85 North and South, I-73 North and South, US 29 North and South, and West Gate City Boulevard in both directions, and other surrounding roadways.

With the heavy traffic, the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, GPD, GDOT and NCDOT said if you are planning on attending the events arrive at least an hour early, carpooling is strongly encouraged.
