"If you can get gas under $4.15 anywhere it's just a blessing honestly." Greensboro commuters pumped about a drop in gas prices.

According to GasBuddy, the national average of gas per gallon has declined over the last 6 weeks.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Maybe you've seen the miracle at the gas pump today and took a deep sigh of relief here in Greensboro.

Gas prices nationwide have steadily decreased over the last few weeks. Prices in Greensboro have made a massive improvement this week.

According to 'Gas Buddy', the average price of gas here in Greensboro is below $4 for the first time in months, and petroleum analyst Patrick De Haan says, the prices at the pump could dip even lower.

"The national average has gone down for six weeks in a row. Every state has seen a decline every day for the last week. Greensboro prices just today slipped below $4 per gallon for the first time in months. The average is now $3.99... Across the country economic concerns have pushed down the price of oil on the fear that rising interest rates are going to choke off the economy and cause a recession", says De Haan.

A break at the pump is exactly what commuters like Bryce Gilmore are looking for after a pricey first half of the year.

"If you can get gas under $4.15 anywhere it's just a blessing honestly, changes the whole course of your day... I was excited, I was hype, as long as we can try to dip below $4 it's great."
