Gas stations still dealing with low amounts of fuel

We spoke with some people earlier in the day who were just relieved that they were able to fill up without the hassle.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The pipeline may be back up and running but it could be days before we start to see normalcy back at the pumps, but there is some good news.

As I drove around Greensboro today I was relieved that I didn't see long lines at the pumps, people hoarding gas, or as many stations without gas as we saw yesterday.

I spoke with some Triad residents earlier in the day who were just relieved that they were able to fill up today without the hassle.

Yesterday we images across the area of packed gas stations, long lines at the pumps, higher gas prices, and many stations without any fuel what so ever.

And today, things are a bit more normal.

Today I spoke with Aaliyah Lewis, who was unaware the news about the Colonial Pipeline, until her family reached out late Tuesday night.

"It was kind of hard. I had to download an app to see where there was gas at, and nowhere gas  yesterday at all. I was supposed to wake up at 2 o'clock in the morning and get gas but lucky for me, this gas station is empty and has gas."

I also spoke with Thomas Barker, who like Aaliyah, hadn't stressed himself out trying to get gas.

"The last couple of days. I had friends stranded out of town. They couldn't get back from out of state cuz the gas crisis or whatever. But me personally I haven't seen too much craziness."

As I drove around Greensboro today. I only a handful of stations without gas.

And there was no one I spoke with today that had any issue filling their tank today, which is all great news to hear.
