Man identified after deadly crash on Shields Road in Kernersville

When police arrived, they found 32-year-old Jack Cody Robbins dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle involved was taken to a hospital.

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — A man died after a head-on crash in Kernersville Tuesday morning, according to police.

The Kernersville Police Department said they received a report about a crash with serious injuries around 7:24 a.m. at the 1300 block of Shields Road. 

When police arrived, they found Jack Cody Robbins, age 32 of Kernersville dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle involved was taken to a hospital. 

Shields Road was closed for almost four hours while police conducted their investigation with the assistance of Kernersville Fire & Rescue Department personnel. 

The cause of the crash is unknown while this investigation is still ongoing. 

Anyone with information is asked to call MPO M.Mitchell. This is the Kernersville Police Department’s second fatality of this year.
