Man dies in crash on Little Uwharrie Road in Randolph County, troopers say

Troopers said that a man drove off the road into an embankment then flipping over.

ASHEBORO, N.C. — A man is dead after his car flipped over into an embankment in Randolph County Thursday, troopers say. 

The crash happened on Little Uwharrie Road near Kennedy Farm Road just after 1:20 p.m. 

Troopers said Eddie Wayne Fouts, 56, was going west on Little Uwharrie Road when he drove off the road, down an embankment and flipped over. 

Fouts died on-scene. 

Investigators said they are unsure how he drove off the road.
