WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — UPDATE: All lanes are back open.
The left lane of US-52 southbound, just south of US 421, is closed due to a multi-car crash, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.
The crash happened just under the railroad bridge on the roadway.
The area is completely shut down. Police said this will cause traffic delays in the area until all of the vehicles can be removed from the scene.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and take a different route.
