WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Residents should be aware of the changes coming to the area.
A portion of Bethabara Road will be closed for at least a year starting on Thursday, April 27 at 7 p.m. for repairs, Winston-Salem officials report.
The road will be closed between Old Town Road and Edgebrook Drive. Detours will be posted, according to city officials.
The closure is due to a failing 15-foot culvert that carries Monarcas Creek under the road, according to city officials.
Staggered Type III barricades will be implemented for the residential roads that are accessed from Bethabara Road. These barricades will be accessible for thru traffic from Hickory Glen Road and Edgebrook Drive for residents to access their properties, city officials report.
