GREENSBORO, N.C. — A woman died over the weekend in a rollover crash in Greensboro, according to police.
Around 7 p.m., emergency crews were called to a crash with injuries at Benjamin Parkway at Josephine Boyd Street Saturday.
Investigators said 43-year-old Desiree Emma Brooks, of Greensboro, was driving a white, 2002 Toyota 4Runner east on Benjamin Parkway with a passenger, Justin Clyde Brooks, 42. Another vehicle was traveling west on Benjamin Parkway, attempting to make a left turn onto Josephine Boyd Street. The two vehicles crashed in the intersection, causing the 4Runner to overturn. Desiree Brooks, who police said was not wearing her seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
Police said Justin Brooks had minor injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
This investigation is ongoing.
