GREENSBORO, N.C. — UPDATE 9 p.m.: Battleground Avenue is back open.
UPDATE: According to officials with the City of Greensboro, water has been restored and they hope to reopen the road by 5 p.m. on Monday.
All northbound lanes of Battleground Avenue between West Bessemer Avenue and Mill Street are closed early Monday morning due to a water main break, Greensboro police say.
Drivers are to avoid this area until further notice.
