GREENSBORO, N.C. -- There's a new man in charge at Northwest Guilford High School.

Monday, the Vikings introduced new head coach Kevin Wallace to players and families at the school.

Wallace spent the past two seasons as offensive coordinator at Glenn High School. The Bobcats averaged 35 points and more than 375 yards a game under Wallace.

Wallace spent several years on the college level before coaching at Glenn. His tenure included 3 years at Greensboro College as an offensive coordinator, strength coach, and offensive line coach. He also spent time at Apprentice School, Frostburg State and LaSalle University.

At Monday's meet-and-greet, Wallace said the head coaching job at Northwest Guilford was always on his radar.

"Even when I was coaching in the college ranks, we had recruits that came from the area," he said. "Great players, great kids, great support here. It's very humbling, very honored to be here. Excited to get going. I can't even express that."

Wallace replaces Jared Rolfes who recently took the head coaching job at Page High School.
