Here's how Taylor Swift could get to the Super Bowl in time

Swift has a show in Tokyo on Saturday, Feb. 10. The Super Bowl is the next day in Las Vegas. Could she make it in time?

LAS VEGAS — The Kansas City Chiefs still have to get past the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday in the AFC Championship game.

But if they win, will Taylor Swift be able to make it to the Big Game in time to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce?

Swift has a show in Tokyo on Saturday, Feb. 10. The Super Bowl is Sunday, Feb. 11. Tokyo time is 17 hours ahead of Las Vegas time, so the time difference certainly works in her favor. Travelmath.com says a non-stop flight from Tokyo to Las Vegas is 11 hours and 35 minutes. For simple math, let's just call it 12 hours. Now let's break down how Swift could get to the Super Bowl, which kicks off at 3:30 p.m. Las Vegas time/6:30 p.m. East Coast time.

  • Saturday, Feb. 10 -- Concert starts at 6 p.m. Tokyo time. It's 1 a.m. in Las Vegas, the same day.
  • Saturday, Feb. 10 -- Swift expected on stage in Tokyo around 8 p.m. It's 3 a.m. in Las Vegas.
  • Saturday, Feb. 10 -- Swift expected off stage in Tokyo around 11 p.m. It's 6 a.m. Saturday in Las Vegas.
  • Let's say she takes a couple of hours for any post-concert meetings and travel time to the airport.
  • Sunday, Feb. 11 -- Swift could take off at 1 a.m. in Tokyo. It's 8 a.m. on Saturday in Las Vegas.
  • Add in 12 hours for the flight from Tokyo to Las Vegas.
  • That means she'd arrive in Las Vegas at 8 p.m. -- still Saturday.
  • Plenty of time to sleep that night, and be in the box seats the next day at 3:30 p.m. in Las Vegas.

So the short answer is yes, she could do it! But again, the Chiefs still have to get past the Ravens to advance to the Super Bowl.
