CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carolina Panthers' Julius Peppers and Steve Smith Sr. became semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's class of 2024.
It's Pepper's first year of eligibility as he and Smith Sr. are amongst 25 modern-day semifinalists named Tuesday by the Hall of Fame out of 173 nominees from September.

- Devin Hester
- Andre Johnson
- Torry Holt
- Patrick Willis
- Willie Anderson
- Darren Woodson
These 25 finalist will be narrowed down to 15 and then 10 early next year.
