Carolina Panthers name former player as new General Manager

Dan Morgan, a former Carolina Panthers player, will now run the front office at Bank of America Stadium as the team's new General Manager.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers have hired a new general manager.

Dan Morgan will now run the front office at Bank of America Stadium.

Morgan was drafted by the Panthers more than 20 years ago, where he played for seven seasons as the middle linebacker for the Panthers.

He replaces Scott Fitterer, who the team fired after the season ended.

"Dan has a thorough knowledge of our football personnel and a clear vision to take us where we all want to go," Panthers owner David Tepper said. "We know he will attack this opportunity with the same intensity he did as a Panthers player."
