GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's basketball team won its ninth game this season by double figures behind an 82-59 victory over the Wofford Terriers on Saturday at the Greensboro Coliseum.
This was the Spartans’ ninth-straight win at home, which matches the home start from the 2004-05 season.
Mikeal Brown-Jones tallied his fourth-career double-double with game-highs of 29 points and 10 rebounds. Keyshaun Langley added 16 points, while Jalen Breath chipped in 11 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
UNCG started the game off with a 13-0 run, denying Wofford of a basket for the first four minutes and 35 seconds. The Spartans maintained a double-figure lead until the Terriers scored eight-straight points to cut the deficit to six, 24-18, with 9:05 left in the first half. Brown-Jones responded with two three-pointers putting the Spartans up by 12, 30-18, with 8:27 on the clock. The two teams traded baskets the rest of the way as UNCG headed to the break with an 11-point advantage, 41-30, following a layup from Brown-Jones. This was the 13th game this season leading at the half.
UNCG maintained the lead through the second half. Donovan Atwell scored five-straight points, including completing a three-point play in just over a minute of action, to put the Spartans up by 20, 62-42, with 8:49 left in the game. For the sixth time this season UNCG held a 20+ point lead over their opponents. The Spartans went on a 15-9 run to extend their lead to 26, their highest of the game, with 2:58 left on the clock. The two teams traded three pointers with less than a minute left, as UNCG claimed the 82-59 victory.

• Kobe Langley contributed six points, seven assists, and three steals.
