When does NC State play again? Final Four teams, schedule, fun facts

This is the Wolfpack men's fourth Final Four appearance.

GLENDALE, Ariz. — The Wolfpack has captivated America's heart during its improbable, but impressive run in March Madness. NC State isn't done yet. They'll take on the Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday in the Final Four in Glendale, Arizona. The winner of that game will then play either UConn or Alabama in the NCAA Championship on Monday, April 8. Here's the schedule for the games. 

Saturday, April 6 (Final Four)

Monday, April 8 (National championship game)

1. What's the lowest seed to make it to the Final Four? | The No. 11 seed is the lowest to ever make the Final Four. NC State is the 6th program ever to do this (LSU 1986; George Mason 2006; VCU 2011; Loyola Chicago 2018; UCLA 2021; NC State 2024).

2. Has an 11-seed ever won the NCAA Tournament? | No, an 11-seed has never won the NCAA Title. The lowest seed to ever win the NCAA Tournament was No. 8 Villanova in 1985. 

3. Has NC State ever won a national championship? | Yes, NC State won the NCAA Tournament in 1974 in Greensboro (under head coach Norm Sloan) and then in 1983 (under head coach Jim Valvano). 

4. When was the last time NC State made it to the Final Four? | The last time the Wolfpack men were in the Final Four was in 1983 (the year they won the title). 

5. How many times has NC State been to the Final Four? | The Wolfpack men have been to the Final Four a total of four times (1950, 1974, 1983, and 2024). 

6. What seed was NC State in 1983? | The Wolfpack was the No. 6 seed in 1983. The team beat No. 1 Houston, 54-52, in the championship game.
