WFMY News 2 crews following all three NC teams in March Madness

March Madness is here! Our crews are following all three North Carolina teams in the tournament.

NORTH CAROLINA, USA — March Madness is officially here, and we have crews following our three NC teams: UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke, and NC State. 

Saturday:

UNC will face Michigan State in the second round at 5:30 p.m. on WFMY News 2. 

NC State will advance to the second round to face Oakland at 7:10 p.m.

No.4 Duke beats No.13 Vermont 64-47 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

NC State defeats (11) Texas Tech (6), 80-67, in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

No. 1 North Carolina beats Wagner to advance to the round of 32! UNC will play No. 9 Michigan State on Saturday.

Chad Silber ran into Wolfpack fans in Pittsburgh!  Tom Rigley, the man in the solid red shirt, told us he was born in Greensboro and went to Smith High School, then NC State. He now lives in Syracuse. What are the odds?!
