DALLAS - Wake Forest sophomores Will Craig and Nate Mondou were named semifinalists for the 2015 Dick Howser Trophy, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced.

Only Wake Forest, TCU, Nevada, College of Charleston, Illinois, Vanderbilt and LSU have multiple semifinalists up for the honor, which recognizes the national player of the year as selected by the NCBWA.

Craig, also the Midseason Player of the Year as selected by Perfect Game, finished his season with a .382 average, 13 home runs and 58 runs batted in, along with 20 doubles, 41 walks and 52 runs scored.

He was also the ACC Player of the Year, on the Golden Spikes Award watch list and was a Midseason All-American by D1Baseball.

Mondou wrapped up the 2015 campaign with a .338 average, 10 homers and 57 RBIs, in addition to 18 doubles, 51 runs and five stolen bases.

The award is named in memory of the former Florida State All-American who went on to play and manage in the big leagues before dying of brain cancer in 1987.
