Longtime Cleveland Broadcaster Casey Coleman Dies At 55

Former Cleveland Browns play-by-play announcer Casey Coleman has died after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

CLeveland, OH -- Coleman, who also covered the city's other sports teams for nearly 30 years, passed away today at his home. He was 55. Coleman was diagnosed with cancer more than a year ago and continued to work until the last few months. He won four Emmy Awards as the sports anchor at WJW television and also won several Associated Press broadcasting awards for excellence. Coleman began his broadcasting career in the Boston area before coming to Cleveland in 1978.
