WSSU band performs at NBA All-Star Weekend

Winston-Salem State won the match up 64 to 47.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Steph Curry showed up over the NBA All-Star Weekend on Saturday, Feb. 17 to pre-game with the Winston-Salem State Rams in the locker room.

The Rams met Virginia Union in the third annual NBA HBCU Classic.

Of course, Steph Curry played his college years at Davidson College.

Steph took the time to shake everybody's hands and gave the team a pep talk.

Winston-Salem State went on to win the match up 64 to 47, it's the first time a team from the CIAA has won the HBCU classic.

On top of that only Winston-Salem state band also got a shout-out during the game...

During the halftime show, the WSSU Red Sea of Sound Marching Band provided backup sounds for Jennifer Hudson.

WSSU student Sasha Williams took the stage alongside her work that was selected to be a part of this year's NBA HBCU Classic. She shares with us what that experience taught her as she prepares for graduation in May.
