The hits, the hype, the history: Reidsville Rams docuseries now streaming on WFMY+

Join us as we follow the Reidsville Rams' historic football program. Can this new team defend its state title?

REIDSVILLE, N.C. — Reidsville, North Carolina. Population - less than 15,000.

This city may be small, but in the heart of it is a football powerhouse: The Reidsville Rams of Reidsville Senior High School.

Its 23 state football championships date back to 1930. No other high school football program in North Carolina can say it has more.

On Friday nights in the fall, you can almost guarantee you'll find the community doing one thing - cheering on their Reidsville Rams.

Perhaps, 3-time State Champion for the Rams, Jerome Simpson, said it best: In Reidsville, three things are important - "God, Family, and Football."

A new season is underway, and the Reidsville Rams are once again looking to defend their 2A state title from 2023.

Join us for the ups and downs, the challenges and triumphs, the unwavering love and support from the community, as well as the personal journeys and accomplishments of players and coaches on this year's team.

We're covering it all in our new docuseries - Heart of the City: Reidsville Rams.

The first episode is now streaming on WFMY+ -- available on Roku and Fire TV. Head to either the News or the Sports on-demand section on the app -- you'll find it there!
