Keyshaun and Kobe Langley look to continue to make history at UNCG as they push for one more trip to the NCAA Tournament

The Langley family is known as a basketball family across North Carolina, and UNCG's Kobe and Keyshaun look to wrap up their final chapter by making Spartan history

GREENSBORO, N.C. — As we wind down to the end of the College Basketball Regular Season, the UNCG Spartans are looking to make some noise this March. Led by Southwest Guilford Alumni, Kobe and Keyshaun Langley, we sat down with the twins as they looked to propel the Spartans deep into the postseason.

Kobe and Keyshaun Langley, have carved out quite the legacy here in the Hoop State. Not only were they two-time 3A State Champs at Southwest Guilford. The dynamic duo made history as part of the undefeated Cowboy squad in 2019 that finished the season 32-0.

More recently, the Langleys have helped the UNCG Spartans make their 4th ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament, but as the 2023-2024 season comes to a close. The Langley Twins realize their time on the court together, maybe coming to a close as well.

"We've been playing together ever since I can remember. Our Connection kind of clicked at an early age, maybe like the second grade", said UNCG Graduate Student Guard Kobe Langley.

"We're just having fun with it, obviously it's a unique situation because we've played together our entire lives", Keyshaun told us.

For as long as Keyshaun and Kobe Langley can remember, their love of basketball. Is almost as strong as their love for each other, and the rest of the Langley family.

"We've played together since the beginning, but we also got to play with our middle brother in High School (Kam Langley, NCAT alum) so that was cool. All of it has just been fun, we've just been taking it all in and taking it one day at a time. Just cherishing these moments, that's all", Kobe and Keyshaun shared with us.

"Just growing up, this is kind of a dream for us. Just being able to play Division I basketball, especially together" Keyshaun went on to say.

For the Langley Family basketball is not just a sport. It's a way of life.

"Since the beginning, I mean our dad went there and played here (UNCG). He started the legacy and it means so much to us. He wanted us to come here and continue his legacy and expand on our legacy as well", said Kobe.

And that's exactly what they've done. In 2021, the Langley Twins helped lead the Spartans to their 4th ever appearance in the 'Big Dance', and they look to put on their dancing shoes once again in just a few weeks.

"We're super close-knit as a team and I think that's why we've won a lot of games. Especially the big ones. I just feel like we're so confident and everyone knows what we're going to do when we have the time and the opportunity. We're so confident we're going to the NCAA Tournament... we're just trying to leave our legacy", is how the twins described their goals for the rest of the season.

Currently, the Spartans sit in second place in the SoCon standings with a record of 20 and 8 with 3 games remaining in the regular season as they prepare for the conference Tourney out in Asheville. Tournament play runs from March 8th-11th out in Asheville.
