FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — East Forsyth quarterback, Bryce Baker, earned an invitation to the Elite 11 Finals this summer in Los Angeles.
"Based on your film and coaches evaluations, I was able to make it to regionals," Baker said. "In Atlanta was where I competed with the best in the area, and I was on of the standouts there. I'm super thankful, it's super special."
The Elite 11 is intended for the top level rising quarterbacks. 12 of the past 13 quarterbacks that have won the Heisman Trophy attended the Elite 11 Finals or an Elite 11 Regional.
"It's not the end result, once I get there I definitely want to compete for the MVP," Baker added. "I'm going to prepare my butt off and show what I can do."
After being recognized as a top-20 quarterback in the 2025 recruiting class, Baker committed to play for UNC last June.
"It's pretty cool. I've been here for a while and we've had some elite quarterbacks come through here," said East Forsyth head coach Todd Willert. "It's very special to have him participate and do so well."
Quarterbacks who attended Elite 11 in the past include former UNC quarterback, Drake Maye, JJ McCarthy, and the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Caleb Williams. Maye and McCarthy were also selected in the First Round of the draft by the New England Patriots and Minnesota Vikings.
The Elite 11 camp takes place June 14-16.
