The father, brother and two cousins of NASCAR driver Jimmy Spencer appeared in Luzerne County court Tuesday for arraignment. The four are accused of receiving stolen property, along with criminal conspiracy to commit theft. Raymond Balls, an employee at McCarthy Tire in Wilkes-Barre, was arraigned Friday on charges that he diverted tires to Ed Spencer's Auto Yard in Salem Township and Spencer's Junk Yard/Used Auto Parts in Hunlock Creek, where the Spencers worked. Balls waived his preliminary hearing. The Spencers are free on their own recognizance pending a hearing May 14th.
