MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- Eastern Alamance High School alum Zack Littell made his Major League Baseball debut Tuesday night.
Littell started on the mound for the Minnesota Twins in game two of a doubleheader with the Chicago White Sox.
Littell got his Major League career off to a fast start, striking out Yoan Moncada in the first at-bat of the game.
The White Sox did catch up to Littell shortly after that. The Alamance County native gave up a double and then a two-run home run to Jose Abreu. By the end of the night, Littell pitched three innings and gave up six hits and six runs as the Twins fell 6-3.
Minnesota recalled Littell from the Rochester Red Wings on Tuesday to play in the game.
