GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Dudley High School Boys and Girls track teams are the newest state champions!
North Carolina A&T hosted the 3A State High School Track and Field Championships. The Dudley Panthers brought home the women's 3A team title beating 2nd place Franklin by 46 points.
The star of the day for the Panthers was junior Jaylee Brown. She won the 100 with a state meet record time of 11.59 seconds and took first in the 200-meter crown and was a part of Dudley's 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams that also claimed first place.
On the boy's side, junior Le'Ezra Brown had a massive individual performance winning three titles himself -- the 100-meter sprint, the 1-10-, and 300-meter hurdles.
Dudley's boy's team also home the state championship. It's the first time in school history that both the boy's and girl's teams won state titles in the same season.
