COLUMBIA, S.C. — A racecar driver was seriously injured in a crash while on his way to Daytona, Florida.
Chris Hacker Motorsports posted to Facebook that on Wednesday afternoon, Hacker was involved in a serious car accident, where a semi-truck crossed the center line and hit Hacker's Mustang head-on.
Hacker had emergency surgery in Columbia, SC, but is expected to have a full recovery.
The Daytona 500 kicks off the NASCAR season on Sunday.
