GREENSBORO, N.C. — Defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions and Greensboro native, DJ Reader, is coming home to host his 7th Annual Youth Football Camp. The camp is a part of his 'A Son Never Forgets Foundation' that he established to promote health and wellness in communities across the country. The non-profit provides resources, activities and services to impact and support communities in need.
“My parents instilled in me the importance of hard work and giving back to the community,” said Reader. “I want to leverage my platform to honor my father and help those in need in my hometown through a variety of programs that will make their lives better."
The camp will take place at Reader's alma mater, Grimsley High School, on Saturday, June 15th. Children ages 6-15 will be participating in the daylong camp. He also recently held his 2nd Annual Toast to Education gala in Greensboro on May 11th.
