GREENSBORO, N.C. — The North Carolina A&T's Greatest Homecoming on Earth, or "GHOE", is in full swing with their homecoming game against the Towson Tigers on Nov. 4.
The Aggies lost to the Tigers, 42 to 32 and are now 1-8 on the season
Here's a breakdown of some of the important moments from the game.
Towson won the toss. Towson received and A&T defended the north goal.
Devin Matthews with the Tigers rushed up the middle for a gain of 2 yards and made the first touchdown of the game for Towson. Their field goal was good. Matthews made a second touchdown towards the end of the first quarter.
The Aggies didn't make their first touchdown until the second quarter when Kenji Christian rushed to the left for a gain of 11 yards to the end zone. The field goal attempt is good.
The Tigers score another 7 points with a touchdown and a field goal.
A&T made a field goal from 26 yards.
The Aggies ended the first half falling behind the Tigers, 21-10.
Christian made his second touchdown of the game around the 9-minute mark of the third quarter.
Towson remained in the lead by the end of the third quarter when Nathan Kent passed to the right complete for 15 yards to Zay Perkins. Perkins caught the ball and made it to the end zone.
The Aggies started strong in the final quarter when Eli Brickhandler made a touchdown within seconds of the clock starting.
The Tigers made another touchdown close to the 12-minute mark.
The Aggies made a field goal from 39 yards.
The Tigers kept the lead with another touchdown with the clock at 4 minutes.
Within the last two minutes, Christian makes his third touchdown of the game. However, A&T gets a 10-yard penalty.
A&T receives another penalty before the snap. A&T gets another 5-yard penalty.
In the end, although NC A&T did their best to catch up to Towson, they ultimately fell short.
The final score was 42-32.
