Carolina Panthers 2016 Preseason Schedule

Carolina Panthers 2016 Preseason Schedule

Charlotte, N.C.--Home games against two 2015 playoff teams – New England and Pittsburgh – highlight the Carolina Panthers 2016 preseason schedule announced Thursday by the National Football League.

All four of Carolina’s preseason opponents are from the AFC as the Panthers open the preseason with consecutive road games at Baltimore (Aug. 11-15) and at Tennessee (Aug. 18-22). Carolina traveled to Tennessee in the 2015 regular season and to Baltimore in the 2014 regular season.

Carolina returns home in Week Three to take on the New England Patriots (Aug. 25-28) before finishing the preseason with a home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, Sept. 1.

This marks the third consecutive preseason in which the Panthers and Patriots have faced off. Carolina traveled to New England in 2014 and hosted the Patriots in 2015. The Panthers and Steelers will be meeting in the preseason finale for the 14th consecutive season. The game returns to Bank of America Stadium in 2016 following two consecutive meetings in Pittsburgh.

The Panthers are 41-44 all-time in preseason games. Carolina finished at least .500 in the preseason in each of its seven playoff seasons.
