GREENSBORO, N.C. — It’s time for ‘My 2 Cents’
In honor of Valentine’s Day, I thought we could talk about LOVE. It’s a pretty divisive topic to be a universal feeling.
Most of that tension comes from the attachment love has to romance. We associate the feeling with relationships – especially on Valentine’s Day. And for people who perhaps aren’t in a relationship, it’s easy to reject love and write off anything tied to it.
But love is not exclusively for a partner – you love your family, your friends, your pet, and you should love yourself.
I’d say love shouldn’t and really can’t be found in just one person but many people and aspects of our lives.
Think about how you feel when you’re around your favorite people –that feeling is love. Maybe you love how you feel when you’re absolutely crushing it at work, or you reach a personal goal or you just spend the day taking time to do what you want to do.
There is more than one way to feel love and I say we celebrate all of those ways this Valentine’s Day.
