GREENSBORO, N.C. — Normally we record this segment in a nicely lighted studio with a beautiful background and I'm dressed in a suit but today I decided to be real and drop all the bells and whistles and just chat about something.
Think about when you grew up in the Triad. I'm sure you had a favorite local business and odds are it wasn't a giant chain store, it was a mom and pop business. Small businesses are the heart and soul of this region. We aren't a New York. We aren't an L.A. We aren't even a Charlotte. This area had a few big industries that helped us grow but the small business owners are the true spirit of our region and now they need our help.
This new reality is a game changer and there absolutely will be small businesses who won't make it but we have a responsibility to make the effort to support them. Whether its ordering curbside service for your favorite eatery or ordering goods from a retail shop and letting them run it out to your car..we need to pull together.
So today I don't think this should be called My 2 Cents...it's really our 2 cents....and its time to join together to save our small businesses.
