GREENSBORO, N.C. — It's time for my 2 cents.
October 21 this year is imagine a day without water. It's part of a national campaign that highlights just how important water is in our everyday lives.
And in a country like America where you don't have to look far to have access to it, it really just puts things into perspective.
Could you do it? No water to drink, or wash your hands with. No water to shower, flush the toilet, or do laundry.
Right now we are in the middle of a pandemic. You know that, but do you ever think about how much worse the pandemic would be if we didn't have clean water?
What would happen in hospitals, with firefighters responding to fire, or in restaurants?
Makes you grateful for what we have, and helps you recognize that we need to make sure our infrastructure is up to par. It's critical.
No city should have to go through what happened in Flint, Michigan.
And hey I know it's too late to take part in the challenge today, but I urge you to spend a few moments thinking about why water is important to you and your community.
Form your own opinion, that's just my two cents.
