Give yourself some grace coming out of the pandemic - My 2 Cents

We'll eventually leave this pandemic in the rear view but just because it's over doesn't mean you have to be who were, or look how you did before it began.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — It's time for 'My 2 Cents.'

As we come out of this pandemic and we start to get back to normal, I want us all to remember to give ourselves grace.

This week Will Smith posted this on social media - he said, 'I'm gonna be real with y'all - I'm in the worst shape of my life.'

He went on to say his body carried him through an entire pandemic and countless days of grazing through his pantry, that he loves his body but he wants to FEEL better.

I love that. He took off the filter to show the real him and I think many of us can relate. Maybe we aren't in the best shape of our lives. Maybe we spent our time during the pandemic enjoying family and friends and taking time for moments instead of workouts.

That's great.

Like Smith said, our bodies got us through this and we shouldn't be upset if they look a little different.

Between all of the jokes about gaining the 'quarantine 15' or the 'COVID 19,' it's hard to remember that you did something hard. We were all affected by this virus in one way or another. It was a stressful time.

We'll eventually leave this pandemic in the rear view but just because it's over doesn't mean you have to be who were, or look how you did before it began.

Give yourself grace and time and do whatever if takes to feel your best.
