If you have a spare $100,000 to spend and also happen to love Jurassic Park, well, this could be your lucky day.
Theme Park Connection, an Orlando-based company that specializes in selling movie memorabilia as well as Disney items, is auctioning the velociraptor cage featured in the opening scenes of the 1993 Steven Spielberg film on eBay. The current bid? A cool $99,900.10 as of late Tuesday afternoon. Bidding will be open for seven more days.
And if owning a velociraptor cage isn't enough, an original velociraptor prop featured in the film is included in the sale.
The nearly six-figure bid for the items is far exceeding the expectations of Theme Park Connection manager Brian Ramsey, who said he was "blown away" by the bidding. The current bid would be the highest amount the company has ever sold a movie prop item for, he said.
"We had no idea Jurassic Park had such a cult following," he said, adding that a number of bids were from overseas.
